Appliances wear, systems age, hairline cracks appear. I cover the unglamorous repairs that keep your household running, so a worn fridge or a temperamental water heater never feels like a small disaster on my watch.

About HomesByVida

Warranty that respects the quiet rhythm of a real home.

Most warranty providers treat a household like a spreadsheet. I read it as a story, with seasons, habits, and the slow patina of use. I shape every plan around how families actually wear in their homes, and I handle claims to feel less like paperwork and more like a phone call to someone who already understands.

Honest, plain-spoken plans

I write coverage in everyday language and spell out what's included before I ask for a signature.

Local, careful technicians

I work with a vetted network of repair professionals who treat repairs as craft, not as a transaction to rush through.

Calm claims, day or night

I answer service requests around the clock and follow through steadily from the first call to the final repair.

Coverage Plans

Three plans, shaped around how a home wears in.

From a starter cottage to a multi-generational household, I size each plan for the way the home is actually used, not for a marketing tier.

Frequently asked

Honest answers, in plain language.

A warranty should explain itself. Below are the questions homeowners ask me most, answered without small print or rehearsed sales language.

Still uncertain? I'm reachable 24/7, and you'll always hear back from me directly.
What does a home warranty actually cover?

My warranty covers the repair or replacement of major home systems and appliances when they fail from normal wear and tear. I typically include heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, kitchen appliances, water heaters, and more, with specifics shaped by the plan you choose.

How is a warranty different from home insurance?

Home insurance protects against sudden, unexpected events like fires, storms, and theft. My home warranty addresses the slower, expected reality of mechanical failure: an aging dishwasher, a furnace that finally gives out, a clogged drain line. The two work together, covering different sides of homeownership.

Is a property inspection required first?

I don't require an inspection to begin coverage. Existing systems and appliances are eligible from day one, provided they were in working order when I start the contract. A short waiting period applies before the first claim can be filed.

What happens after a service request is filed?

Once a request is received, a vetted technician from the local network is dispatched, usually within 24 to 48 hours. The flat service fee is paid directly to the technician at the visit, and any covered parts or labor are handled through the contract.

Can plans be adjusted after signing up?

Plans can be upgraded, downgraded, or paused at the start of any new billing cycle. Optional add-ons such as pool equipment, septic systems, or second refrigerators can be layered onto a base plan whenever the household's needs change.

Ready when the home is

Quiet protection for house that's already home.

A short questionnaire, a transparent quote, and coverage that begins the moment a plan is signed. No pressure to upgrade, no fine print written to confuse.

From Homeowners

Stories from homes well lived.

Plain words from households that called when something broke and were met by a calm voice and a quick repair.

"The dryer gave out on a Sunday evening and a technician was at the door by Tuesday morning. The visit was unhurried, the repair was quiet, and the kitchen smelled like coffee again by lunchtime. That's the whole standard, really."

Margaret R.

"Everything was explained in language that made sense, before any contract was signed. When the heat pump finally went out in February, the claim felt almost ordinary, which is exactly what was hoped for in a winter month like that."

Daniel T.

"The refrigerator was old, and the tone of the call could have made it feel like a problem. Instead, it felt like a conversation between neighbors. The replacement fit the cabinetry the first time around, which was its own small kindness."
